Designfever’s Interactive Table created for Lexus uses 3D printed models that respond to the user’s movements when they are in contact with the screen of an iPad, letting you know about Lexus vehicles exposed to Seoul Motor Show 2013.
The aim of the project was to introduce users to the advanced technologies and philosophies of the Lexus brand, through significant and interactive experience. “To represent the advanced technologies in vehicles, we used the most up-to-date forms of 3D modeling & print software during development of the project. The simple act of controlling a model car to obtain information provides significant experience for users of all ages “.
Miniature models of 5 vehicles on display at the Seoul Motor Show 2013 were created using 3D printing to show the customer’s technological capabilities. The iPad have been pre-loaded with programs created to respond immediately once the template is placed on display. Every model shows unique geometric patterns and shapes that evoke a different answer when placed on your iPad, encouraging user engagement.
It is difficult to produce a memorable experience for everyone to a big event like the 2013 Seoul Motor Show. The project has been successful as it hit users almost immediately. The use of an interactive table for seconds produces breathtaking and personal experience for users that allows them to recognize the philosophy and cutting-edge technologies. The concept allowed adults to pretend to be children playing with toy cars, while children can pretend to be adults and drive.
